Experteer Overview
In this role you will join the Tax practice to support a broad range of Spanish and international tax matters. You will work cross-functionally with the Corporate team on transactional tax matters, due diligence, and advisory work, helping clients navigate tax risks and compliance. You’ll monitor changes in tax law and contribute to knowledge sharing and business development within the practice. This is a client-facing, team-oriented position at a global firm offering professional development and exposure to diverse tax assignments.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Advise on a broad range of Spanish and international tax matters as a generalist within the Tax practice
• Provide tax advice on corporate income tax, including structuring and ongoing advisory work
• Assist on transactional tax matters (M&A, restructurings) in coordination with the Corporate team
• Perform tax due diligence in M&A transactions and contribute to risk assessment and documentation
• Advise on indirect taxation (VAT) in domestic and cross-border contexts
• Draft and review tax memoranda, opinions, and transaction documents from a tax perspective
• Assist clients in interactions with Spanish tax authorities (audits, procedures)
• Monitor tax developments and assess impact on client matters
• Collaborate across practice groups and with tax teams in other jurisdictions
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, training, and business development within Tax practice
Responsabilidades
• 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in tax
• Spanish qualified lawyer with a law degree
• Tax specialist with transactional tax expertise highly valued
• Tax LLM and/or Business Administration/Economics degree a plus
• Outgoing personality and team player
• Ability to take responsibility for essential elements of a transaction
• Strong technical and commercial abilities
• Highly effective communicator (oral and written)
• Commitment to excellent client service
• International experience is a plus
• High proficiency in English (written and spoken)
