The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading the commercial operations in Central & Eastern Europe to achieve revenue growth, market expansion, and customer satisfaction goals. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, overseeing their execution, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for delivering a high-performance culture and collaborate cross-functionally with Technical Marketing, R&D, and Customer Service teams to grow the region. This position will be responsible for the business results and the achievement of annual sales and profits targets for Central & Eastern Europe. Key Responsibilities Managing local accounts and distributors in the defined territory Establishes and monitors sales targets and performance goals for the territory Develop and implement sales strategies for growth and profitability Manages scorecards and effectively communicating expectations to distributors Analyzes cost structures and margins necessary for meeting profitability targets Prepare forecasts, budget reports, sales analysis and other reports as required Maintains and builds distributor relationships through visits and correspondence, and provides performance feedback to management Assists with marketing strategies and promotional programs Organize and participate in local trade shows Prepares and conducts technology training sessions Manages follow-up of sample submissions Prospects and recommends new sales opportunities Proposes alternative distribution options in territories where distributors are not performing to expectations. Meets targets for Meaningful Customer Interactions (MCIs) and provides management with call reports, reports on competitive markets/ trends, distributor feedback, and new product/technology developments in the market Works in partnership with other departments to ensure goals are met and distributors are given appropriate support and timely feedback Maintains updated knowledge of global regulatory requirements, including REACH, and works with appropriate departments to ensure company compliance Mandatory use of SalesForce.com as a tool to organize, track and update opportunities on a timely basis Timely submissions of expenses and travel and expense management Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in chemistry, biology or related field from four-year college or university; minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the personal care or related industry.
