What You'll Work On You Will Join An Active Research Group Working On:Next-generation edge computing techniques for IoT networks. Distributed data processing and optimization across cloud–edge infrastructures. Architectures and protocols for seamless IoT–edge–cloud integration. Real-world applications in smart learning environments, education spaces, and other IoT domains Most of our projects are designed with a social aid perspective , aiming to leverage technology for education, inclusivity, and community benefit This gives our research both scientific depth and tangible impact. Beyond Research, You Will Play a Key Role In:Shaping future projects by contributing to grant proposals (national and European). Publishing in top-tier international journals and conferences. Exploring collaborations with industry and academic partners Mentoring MSc and PhD students and co-creating new research directions. What We're Looking For A PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (meeting Juan de la Cierva eligibility requirements). Strong background in computer engineering, distributed systems, edge computing, or cloud computing Experience with IoT platforms, virtualization/containerization, or large-scale data processing is highly valued. A track record of publications in recognized venues Motivation to grow toward independent research leadership Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus but not required.
