Senior Cloud Architect - Data & AI We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to lead the evolution of cloud‑native architectures in multi‑cloud environments, primarily Azure and AWS, for an important financial sector project. The role translates business, data, AI, security, and operations needs into scalable, resilient, cost‑efficient solutions that support productive data and AI platforms. Responsibilities Design and define cloud‑native architectures in multi‑cloud environments, primarily Azure and AWS. Translate business, data, AI, security and operations requirements into scalable, resilient and cost‑efficient solutions. Define enterprise cloud architecture patterns, including landing zones, networking, identity, security, observability, governance and workload isolation. Review and establish Infrastructure as Code standards with Terraform and native cloud tools such as Bicep or Cloud Formation. Drive CI/CD and Dev Sec Ops practices, incorporating quality gates, automated deployments, vulnerability scanning and secure releases. Define reference architectures for production platforms, covering deployment, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery and incident response. Ensure security‑by‑design principles, including IAM/RBAC, encryption, secret management, auditability, compliance and least privilege. Lead architectural governance, mentor technical teams, review designs and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, ADRs, standards and implementation guides. Qualifications University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, Industrial Engineering or related STEM fields. Cloud architecture certifications in Azure and/or AWS, or equivalent demonstrable knowledge. Experience designing or supporting AI/ML platforms and productive AI applications. Experience with streaming and event‑driven architectures (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, AWS Kinesis, etc.). At least 2 years of professional experience defining cloud‑native architectures in multi‑cloud, primarily Azure and AWS. Experience translating business, data, AI, security and operations requirements into scalable, resilient, cost‑efficient cloud solutions. Experience defining reference architectures for production platforms, covering deployment, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery and incident response. Experience in technical leadership, architectural governance, design reviews and support of strategic technology decisions. Experience designing data platform architectures (data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses, Databricks, Snowflake, Cloudera, object storage, relational databases, distributed processing platforms). Languages English fluently, minimum B2. Spanish fluently. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of enterprise cloud architecture patterns: landing zones, networking, identity, security, observability, governance, and workload isolation. Hands‑on experience with core Azure services: Landing Zones, AKS, Azure Functions, App Service, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Dev Ops, Data Factory, and Databricks. Hands‑on experience with core AWS services: VPC, IAM, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Cloud Watch, KMS, AWS Organizations, and Control Tower. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and/or native cloud tools such as Cloud Formation. Solid understanding of CI/CD and Dev Sec Ops, including quality gates, automated deployments, vulnerability scanning and secure release processes. Knowledge of hybrid and multi‑cloud networking: VNET/VPC, private endpoints, DNS, VPN, Express Route, Direct Connect, firewalls, routing and segmentation. Experience with container architectures and Kubernetes platforms, especially AKS and EKS. Capability to define security‑by‑design principles, including IAM/RBAC, encryption, secret management, auditability, compliance and least privilege. Knowledge of cost optimization and Fin Ops principles: workload sizing, tagging, reserved capacity, autoscaling and cost governance. Knowledge of MLOps and LLMOps, covering model lifecycle, serving, monitoring, governance and responsible AI controls. Familiarity with MLflow, Kubeflow, Databricks ML, Azure Machine Learning, or AWS Sage Maker from an architectural perspective. Knowledge of generative AI architectures, including RAG, vector databases, agents, Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Crew AI, MCP and enterprise integration of LLMs. Familiarity with APIs, API gateways, service mesh, REST APIs, authentication, throttling, versioning and observability. Knowledge of observability platforms: Dynatrace, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, or Cloud Watch. Experience with architectural governance methods and tools such as C4 model, ADRs, TOGAF, Well‑Architected Frameworks or Cloud Adoption Frameworks. Programming or scripting experience in Python, C#, Java Script or Type Script. Soft Skills Ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders, including Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Dev Ops Engineers, Product Owners, CTOs, Security teams, Architecture and Risk/Compliance teams. Excellent communication skills to explain complex architectural decisions to technical and non‑technical audiences. Ownership and autonomy to drive architecture initiatives from requirements to solution approval and delivery support. Ability to produce and maintain architecture documentation, including solution designs, diagrams, decision records, standards and implementation guides.
