Joining the Customer Success team will provide you with the support and growth you need to strengthen and evolve your skills within the consulting field.We are seeking a Technical Consultant to join our Customer Success team. In this role, you will be engaging with our customers post‑sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform. These applications help companies drive digital transformation and competitive differentiation. Your primary responsibility will be to work throughout the entire project life‑cycle to define, design, develop and implement custom software solutions using Appian’s platform for our commercial clients. This includes working within an agile environment to understand our client’s business processes and technical needs, launch new relational data models in production, and develop APIs to integrate with multiple systems.You will also collaborate with clients’ technical teams and business users as needed throughout the entire software and development life cycle and drive adoption by empowering clients to become self‑sufficient with building process applications on their own.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with customers post‑sales to define business processes and gather functional and technical system requirements.Design, develop, test, and implement custom software solutions on the Appian platform.Launch and manage relational data models in production and build APIs for integration with external systems.Collaborate with client technical teams and business users throughout the software development life cycle.Drive client adoption by empowering them to build and maintain process applications.Participate in agile ceremonies, such as pair programming, stand‑ups, planning sessions, and sprints.Qualifications1+ years of hands‑on software development or technical consulting experience.Background in object‑oriented programming, relational databases, database design/data modeling, and SQL.Experience with agile methodologies and testing practices, including test‑driven development and automated test suites.Experience building integrations using APIs such as REST, SOAP, JDBC, or web services.Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.) and familiarity with AI, analytics, machine learning, and container services preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field.Excellent communication skills, passion for technology, continuous learning, and a curiosity to ask “why” and solve the right problems.Willingness to travel up to 20% to support customer engagement.Tools & ResourcesOnboarding includes department‑specific training and continuous learning resources, mentorship, and the First‑Friend program.Growth opportunities through a leadership program, Appian University, skills‑based training, and tuition reimbursement.Participation in employee‑led affinity groups and community initiatives.BenefitsAppian offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include health coverage, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with free mental health support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), retirement/pension plan, wellness dollars, tuition reimbursement, family‑forming benefits, and more.
