ph3Overview /h3 pWe're expanding our national team of DAS Engineers for Public Safety Cellular Distributed Antenna Systems. VeriDAS Technologies is looking for professionals with significant experience in in‑building wireless coverage, Public Safety DAS, and commercial Cellular DAS system design, planning commissioning. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liComplete site surveys to determine coverage/building requirements and factors affecting design installation /li liDevelop analyze RF link budgets using iBwave /li liRepeater Design: calculation of antenna gain, line loss amplification /li liDesign of fiber distribution needed as well as passive component insertion losses gains /li liDraft customer design document proposals describing recommended coverage solutions /li liConduct pre‑construction walk throughs /li liCommission test new systems /li liTroubleshoot system problems to satisfactory resolution /li liWork with OEM technical support staff to address and resolve issues /li liAnalyze various coverage data collected /li liProvide training technical support to other employees contractors /li liProduce technical materials e.g., spec sheets, user manuals, quick‑start guides, troubleshooting guides, white papers, etc. /li liCreate present training materials (in‑person, video conference calls) /li liReconcile and document necessary paperwork for expenses and billing /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul li5 years experience with iBwave design /li li5 years experience in DAS system design, planning optimization /li li5 years experience in DAS commissioning /li li5 years experience with various active DAS OEMs /li liExpert knowledge of indoor RF (radio frequency) propagation principles, cellular theory, RF engineering tools and antenna theory /li liWorking knowledge of RF principles including antenna theory, transmit and receive basics (free space path loss) /li liWorking knowledge of communication theory including measurement metrics for CDMA, Ev‑DO, UMTS, LTE, and channel/band assignments /li liDAS equipment knowledge including: head end and remote unit location selection (power, grounding, space), repeater knowledge, DAS equipment and base stations /li liWorking knowledge of Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System architecture /li liMastery of OEM hardware including but not limited to Mobile Access, Teko, ADRF, and SOLiD, Fiplex, CommScope /li liMastery of test equipment including but not limited to spectrum analyzers, cable analyzers, Site Master, Cell/BTS Master, CW testing, OTDR, Nemo Outdoor PIM analyzer /li /ul h3Certifications Qualifications /h3 ul liBS in Engineering (Electrical or RF Engineering degree preferred) /li liExperience in in‑building wireless industry (carrier experience or experience with DAS or turnkey integrators highly preferred) /li liExperience using iBwave in‑building RF design software /li liExperience with Fiber DAS equipment (e.g., CommScope/Andrew, TE/ADC, Corning MobileAccess) /li liExperience with data collection tools (e.g., TEMS Investigation) /li liExperience with post processing tools (e.g., TEMS Discovery) /li liExperience with hand held test equipment (e.g., signal generator, spectrum analyzer) /li liSolid knowledge of wireless technologies (GSM/WCDMA/UMTS/HSPA/CDMA/LTE) /li /ul h3Apply /h3 pApply for the DAS Engineer Job Today!
