This role owns regional ecosystem engagement, strategic partnerships, and growth initiatives that directly support membership expansion, certification adoption, and long‑term financial objectives. The Director operates as a visible external leader for Wi‑Fi Alliance in EMEA, engaging senior executives, shaping industry relationships, and aligning regional priorities with global strategy. This role contributes directly to multi‑year planning and is accountable for delivering measurable impact across membership, certification growth, and strategic alliances. The Director reports to the Vice President of Marketing and partners closely with global leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesRegional Strategy & LeadershipDevelop and execute the EMEA business development strategy aligned with Wi‑Fi Alliance's global priorities and five‑year financial planDefine regional goals for membership growth, certification adoption, ecosystem partnerships, and strategic initiativesServe as a senior voice into global strategy development, representing EMEA market dynamics and opportunitiesExecutive‑Level Member & Ecosystem EngagementBuild and sustain executive‑level relationships with key member companies, prospective members, and strategic partners across EMEAPosition Wi‑Fi Alliance as a trusted, value‑driving industry leader and convening bodyLead strategic partnerships that increase the relevance, reach, and “stickiness” of Wi‑CERTIFIED programsRevenue Growth & EnablementPartner with the Vice President of Marketing to shape go‑to‑market approaches that align with how members buy and engage in EMEAActively support pipeline development and initiatives that directly contribute to membership and certification revenue growthOversee regional contributions to new offerings, programs, and strategic growth initiativesOrganizational & Program LeadershipEnsure effective management of liaison relationships to maximize strategic valueCollaborate closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Technology teams to ensure offerings meet evolving market needsExperience & Qualifications10+ years of senior experience in international business development, partnerships, or sales within the technology industryDemonstrated success leading regional or global growth initiatives with measurable impactExperience engaging C‑level and senior executive stakeholdersStrong background in Wi‑Fi, connectivity, networking, or adjacent technology ecosystemsPrior experience working with industry associations or standards organizations preferredSkills & AttributesStrategic, confident leader with strong executive presenceHighly persuasive communicator with excellent written and verbal skillsStrong negotiator and relationship builder across cultures and geographiesAnalytical and insight‑driven, with the ability to connect market trends to business strategyComfortable operating with autonomy and accountabilityWillingness to travel internationally (approximately *****%)EducationBachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.LocationPosition to be based in Europe (location flexible, proximity to major international airport required).
