OverviewEngineering Manager / Lead Mechanical Engineer (Pressure Vessels & Piping) – Energy & Waste-to-Energy Plants – Barcelona, Spain (On-site) | Full-timeWe are looking for an Engineering Manager / Lead Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in process plant engineering to lead mechanical design and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams in energy and waste-to-energy projects.This role offers the opportunity to join a growing engineering company with a solid portfolio of national and international projects, working across the full lifecycle of industrial installations — from concept and detailed engineering to construction, commissioning and start-up.You will be involved in the engineering and development of:Hydrogen, methanol and SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) projectsBiomass conversion systemsGasification and thermal treatment technologiesKey ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities for industrial energy projects.Design and supervise pressure vessels, piping systems, steel structures, tanks and other mechanical equipment.Prepare and review engineering documentation, including:PFDs and P&IDsMechanical drawings and layoutsEquipment data sheets and technical specificationsBills of materials (BOM)Ensure compliance with international standards and codes, including EN, ISO, PED, ASME and pressure equipment regulations.Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary engineering teams during the design phase.Ensure that the engineering team:Provides technical support and on-site supervision during installation of structures, piping and mechanical equipment.Participates in commissioning and start-up activities of process plants.Ensures that mechanical systems are installed and operated according to design specifications.Requirements10+ years of experience in process plant engineering in projects such as Waste-to-energy plants, Biomass and thermal treatment plants, Hydrogen and e-fuels facilities, Chemical and petrochemical plants, Industrial process plants.Strong experience in pressure vessel design, piping systems and industrial mechanical equipment, according to ASME / PED standards.Proven ability to lead and coordinate engineering teams.Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD Mechanical.English level B2 or higher.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.Availability for occasional travel.What We OfferCompetitive salary package (up to €100k depending on experience)Opportunity to grow into a Technical Director rolePermanent full-time positionProfessional growth within a dynamic and expanding international engineering companyNice to HaveExperience in biomass, waste gasification, combustion or pyrolysis technologies.Knowledge of French or German.Residence in the Greater Barcelona area.
