About
La Casita de Inglés teaches English to children through games, arts & crafts, singing, dancing, theatre, yoga, and baking. Almost all of the planning is provided; teachers only tailor the ideas to their specific groups. Exams are not carried out; teachers fill out progress reports every trimester. Classes are small and interactive, with a maximum of 8 children per class in our after‑school programme (occasionally up to 10 if students need to make up).
Tasks
We seek substitute teachers to cover shifts in our Madrid locations. As a substitute you can cover shifts when needed—most days—but are never obligated to cover a shift unless previously agreed. This flexible role offers priority for permanent shifts and opportunities to work at our day camps and workshops.
Schedule
Monday – Friday: 16:00–17:00 and 17:30–19:30 (16 €/hour gross)
Saturday mornings: 11:00–13:00 (21.4 €/hour gross)
Requirements
MUST be autonomous in Spain
Fun, creative, and enthusiastic teachers who love working with kids
At least one year of experience teaching or working with children
Native/bilingual level of English with a native accent, regardless of nationality
Permission to work in Spain (student visa, work permit, EU/Spanish resident, etc.), a Spanish Social Security Number (NSS) and a background check (Certificado de Delitos de Naturaleza Sexual). Candidates without any of these at the time of application may be considered if they obtain them before starting work.
