The Universitat Politècnica de València – Campus of Alcoy is looking for a motivated PhD student to join the research project: "Greening City Logistics: Innovative Sustainable Last-Mile Solutions for Barcelona (GLIMS)", funded by Ajuntament de Barcelona and "la Caixa" Foundation.
This project focuses on modeling and optimizing sustainable last‑mile solutions, simulating road pricing scenarios, and conducting deep impact analyses to decarbonize Barcelona's logistics. Your core responsibilities involve leading research and modeling efforts through comprehensive literature reviews and the development of advanced optimization models, which serve as the foundation for simulation and programming tasks focused on road pricing and sustainable logistics. Furthermore, you will leverage data science to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable urban insights, while also driving scientific communication by authoring high‑impact articles and presenting findings at international conferences.

REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in:
Computer Science / Informatics
Mathematics or Statistics
Transport Engineering / Logistics
