We are looking for ahighly motivated Accountantto support SEL’s finance operations inSpain. This role is ideal for a Spanish accounting professional with strong expertise inlocal accounting, payroll, and statutory compliance, who is excited to work in aninternational, collaborative finance environmentwith exposure to broader European operations.
Depending on experience, this role can be scoped atAccountant or Senior Accountant level.What You’ll Do
You will support SEL’s finance operations in Spain, ensuring accurate, compliant, and insightful financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial close activities under Spanish GAAP.
Supporting statutory reporting, tax filings, payroll coordination, and compliance with Spanish regulations.
Analyzing financial results, variances, KPIs, budgets, and forecasts to provide actionable insights.
Contributing to cost, margin, and management accounting analysis.
Supporting audits, internal controls, process improvements, and special finance projects.
Collaborating closely with local and international finance teams while living SEL Values and principles.What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, or a related field(or equivalent experience); amaster’s degreeis a plus.
Spanish nationalwith hands-on experience inSpanish accounting, tax, and payroll legislation.
Proven experience in accounting roles with increasing responsibility.
Strong knowledge ofaccounting principles, financial analysis, and month-end closeactivities.
SolidExcel skills; experience withERP, tax, or payroll systemsis preferred.
Experience coordinatingpayroll processes in Spainand working with external providers;European regulatory exposureis a plus.
Fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to workindependently in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment.Why Join SEL?
