Frontend Architect

We're seeking an experienced Frontend Architect to join our Architect Team in Barcelona in charge of our systems. As one of Europe's top ecommerce sites, our platform serves millions of daily transactions in 40+ countries and has very demanding requirements in terms of performance and maintainability. Reporting to the Chief Architect, you will be expected to provide technical solutions to satisfy our business needs and to collaborate with development teams, business, product and other architects. What you will do:
Drive the technical evolution of one or more micro frontends in our platform
Be the go-to person of developers for all technical questions
Collaborate with multiple teams (~30-50 developers)
Help business and product in scoping and phasing ideas already in their backlogs
Mentor senior engineers in their technical growth
What you need to succeed:
BS in Computer Science or a related technical field
Software coding, design patterns, architecture and performance engineering
Communication with both technical and non-technical people
Assertiveness and influencing: able to get your point across and challenge those of others in a calm and positive manner
Nice to have:
Experience designing micro frontends
Experience with machine learning systems
Experience in big multi-language/country ecommerce websites
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Applied AI Tools: Demonstrated comfort using practical AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI-powered coding assistants.
Experimentation Mindset: Curiosity and eagerness to explore, experiment with, and integrate emerging AI-driven solutions into software development workflows.
AI-Enhanced Problem Solving: Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to debug code, streamline development processes, and enhance productivity.
Adaptability and Learning Agility: Enthusiastic about continuously learning and quickly adapting to new AI features and capabilities.
Collaboration with AI: Experience or interest in collaborating closely with AI tools as 'pair programmers' to complement traditional software development practices.
