Saras is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the operations, commercial growth and overall business performance of Saras Energia , a fuel wholesale company serving the Spanish retail network, working within an international environment and in close collaboration with the Vitol global network.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in Oil & Gas sector, focused on sales of fuels on the Spanish market in the retail and wholesale channel, including logistics sales by stock transfers and shows a proven track record in managing commercial strategies, operational excellence and P&L accountability.
This is a full-time position based in Madrid
Lead overall business operations and managing the local branch in Madrid and the property Dep. of Cartagena , and the own Logistic structure at Cartagena, ensuring operational and commercial excellence, driving sales growth and expanding market share in Spain
Develop and execute the commercial strategy for wholesale fuel sales across the Spanish market, aligned with Saras corporate strategy and objectives
Oversee sales performance, pricing strategy, market positioning, managing key customer relationships and developing new business opportunities
Managing sustainability and compliance aspects relating to biofuels and compulsory stocks on the Spanish market, and relative commercial opportunities.
Ensure compliance with local regulations , industry standards, health & safety requirements, and environmental regulations
Overseeing financial performance, including P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI monitoring
Representing the company in the local market, fostering strong relationships with partners and stakeholders
Liaise with Italian HQ for strategic initiatives
Strong background in business development, sales strategy, and market expansion
Mandatory experience in the Oil & Gas sector, preferably with a focus on Wholesale channel
Previous experience in a senior management or branch leadership role
Solid understanding of the Spanish fuel logistics market
Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze KPIs, budgets, and profit & loss statements
Fluent in English and Spanish; Italian is considered a strong asset
