Rob Surgical | Barcelona | Start February 2027 Rob Surgical is a Barcelona medical robotics company developing Rob , a European surgical robot for general surgery, urology, and gynaecology . Rob is a single‑boom system that moves from room to room with a small footprint, built around our own 360 Joint . We have a CE mark for urology , and clinical studies in gynaecology and general surgery are currently ongoing. Rob is planned to enter Spanish hospitals in 2027 , starting with the commercial launch in Spain in July 2027 . We are looking for our first Head of Commercial Spain . This person will open the Spanish market with us, first by selling personally, and later by building the team. Reports to: CEO. THE ROLE You own the commercial side of Rob in Spain. In 2027 you will sell yourself. You know the hospitals, you open the doors, and you close the deals. When the Spanish model works, you will build the team. In the first 12 months, you will: Turn our clinical partner hospitals into our first customers, working closely with our Medical Affairs team. Build a pipeline of 15 to 20 qualified Spanish hospitals , with named decision-makers: surgery chiefs, hospital management, procurement. Propose our pricing and contract model for Spain: purchase, lease or pay per use , adapted to each hospital. Sign the first launch sites, and lead each one through installation and the first cases together with our clinical and service teams. Close the first contracts after launch, in public and private hospitals. Bring the voice of the market into the company: what hospitals ask for, the objections we hear, the competitors we meet. How we will measure success: signed launch sites, qualified pipeline, contracts closed, and a commercial model for Spain that we can repeat in other countries. WHAT YOU BRING Must have 8 to 10 years or more selling capital equipment to Spanish hospitals. Surgical robotics is ideal; minimally invasive surgery, imaging or operating-room equipment is also good. Deals of €1M or more that you closed yourself, not only consumables. Real knowledge of public procurement in Spain : investment plans, tenders, evaluation committees, and the differences between regions. A network in Spanish surgery and hospital management: chiefs of general surgery, urology and gynaecology, hospital directors, procurement heads. Energy to build from zero. No large marketing team, no ready‑made lead list: you create them Experience working alongside clinical studies, and knowing the rules for a device that is still under investigation. Native Spanish and fluent English. Nice to have Experience launching a new system in Spain, at a manufacturer or a distributor Experience with lease and pay‑per‑use models Some experience leading a small team WHAT WE OFFER The chance to launch a European surgical robot in its home market, and to shape how we sell it in other countries later.
