Hitachi Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Specialist to support various human resources functions, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and contributing to a positive employee experience. This role will involve a blend of administrative, operational, and employee‑facing duties within a dynamic and global organization.
How you’ll make an impact
Administer and maintain HR information systems (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Process new hire onboarding, including background checks, offer letter generation, and new employee orientation coordination.
Support employee relations by assisting with inquiries, resolving issues, and escalating complex matters to senior HR personnel.
Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and communication of benefit programs.
Assist with performance management processes, including tracking performance reviews and providing support for performance improvement plans.
Coordinate and support various HR projects and initiatives, such as training programs, employee engagement activities, and policy updates.
Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and company policies.
Maintain confidential employee records and information with the utmost discretion.
Collaborate effectively with other HR team members and departments across the organization.
Your background
Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in an HR generalist or specialist role, preferably within a large, multinational organization.
Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and relevant employment laws.
Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and HR-related issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with global HR practices and cultural nuances is a plus.
