I&C / Electrical Design Engineer required to support the design of critical energy infrastructure in a regulated environment. The role focuses on the integration of electrical and I&C systems across multiple engineering disciplines, with an emphasis on clear interfaces, systems definition, and robust design substantiation. This is a design-led position. It is not PLC-only, commissioning-focused, or coordination-led. Experience in nuclear is welcome but not essential. Engineers from aerospace, transport, defence, and other safety-critical industries often transition well where formal design assurance and regulatory discipline are part of everyday work. The work supports long-term, low-carbon energy programmes, including SMR developments, but the key requirement is strong systems thinking and comfort working under scrutiny.
