The role will report to our Senior Manager responsible for the EMEA region, as part of the wider Global E-Compliance team. E-invoicing and e-reporting models are proliferating around the globe and this is a great opportunity to be at the heart of this business‑critical area for Amazon. We are looking to hire a talented tax manager who has been part of an E‑Invoicing mandate, having advised on or delivered an e‑invoice implementation previously.The role may be based in one of Amazon’s established European offices (Barcelona, London, Warsaw). Regular travel to other locations is likely.Key Job ResponsibilitiesLegislative Monitoring & AnalysisMonitor, track and evaluate legislative developments such as the EU’s ViDA programme and individual country developments, working with colleagues in VAT Policy and regional Tax Planning teams.Analyse published law and guidance to draft comprehensive Tax Requirements Documents plus other briefing materials that clearly articulate the impact on Amazon’s business operations.Leverage AI and automation tools (including Amazon’s internal AI platforms and tax technology solutions) to monitor regulatory developments, analyse legislative texts, and accelerate the drafting of materials.Support the development and refinement of AI-driven workflows.Stakeholder Engagement & Outside CounselAct as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders — including Tax Engine, FinOps, Operations, Finance, Legal, and business teams — to answer ongoing queries related to e‑invoicing requirements and provide timely, accurate guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.Liaise with partner teams to assist with their execution of requirements and ensure cross‑functional coordination.Engage and manage relationships with external tax advisors to obtain specialist advice on complex or ambiguous legislative requirements, and validate internal interpretations.Serve as the subject‑matter expert to whom internal teams and external partners can direct ongoing technical and procedural queries ensuring consistent and authoritative responses that support project delivery.Assist ECH Project Manager with management of e‑invoicing implementation projects.Basic QualificationsExperience working in a large public accounting firm or multi‑national corporate tax department.Experience researching indirect tax issues including taxability of products and services.Knowledge of VAT in EU/UK.Experience working effectively across cross‑functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization.Demonstrated experience working on previous e‑invoicing projects or tax technology work such as tax engines, with a strong understanding of process and controls.Demonstrated ability to act as a go‑to subject‑matter expert, fielding ongoing queries from internal stakeholders (Tax Engine, FinOps, Operations, Finance, Legal) and external partners, and providing timely, authoritative guidance.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree, or professional tax, accounting or legal qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant (CA), Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) or similar).Can use AI for legal research, contract analysis, or document review.Experience managing competing priorities across a wide range of stakeholders.Experience communicating with customers, technical, regulatory, business teams, and management to collect requirements, describe product features, and technical designs.Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic organization. xcskxlj Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
