Position Description
Universidad Pontificia Comillas invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position to study human–nature relationships and their implications for sustainability.
The project aims to develop a novel theoretical and empirical framework explaining how individuals conceptualize and relate to nature, and how these relational models influence well-being, environmental behaviour, and sustainability practices.
The research integrates perspectives from environmental psychology, sociology, and communication studies, combining quantitative, experimental, qualitative, and computational approaches, including surveys, experiments, discourse analysis, and field studies.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary research team with strong international collaborations and an established record of publications in leading journals in marketing, sustainability, and environmental social sciences.
The project includes collaboration with international scholars and institutions in Europe and the United States, offering opportunities for networking, conference participation, and joint publications.

Candidate Profile – Required Qualifications
PhD in Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or Environmental Studies, obtained after ****
Proven research experience beyond the doctoral dissertation
Ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative research methods
Expertise in consumer behaviour
Demonstrated ability to publish in high‑impact journals (journals ranked 3? or above in the ABS list or Q1 journals)
Teaching experience in marketing, market research, or consumer behaviour
Additional Assets
The Following Qualifications Will Be Positively Considered:
Experience with mixed‑methods research, including qualitative research and quantitative approaches (experimental and survey design)
Expertise in human–nature relationships, green behaviour, environmental psychology, or environmental sociology
Fluency in English (C1); knowledge of Spanish will be appreciated
Strong analytical and organisational skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative research team
Motivation to engage in interdisciplinary research and high‑impact publications
