Eurecat is the second Research & Technology Organisation in Spain and one of the largest applied research and technology transfer organisation in SouthernEurope. It brings together the experience of more than 800 professionals who generate an annual turnover of 69 million euros and provides services to more than 2,000 companies. Eurecat integrates advanced digital capabilities and experience in biotechnology, industry and sustainability and collaborates with industry in R+D+I activities and projects, offering advanced scientific and technological services and specialized knowledge to respond effectively to the technological needs of very different business sectors, accelerating innovation, reducing both risks and spendings on scientific and technological infrastructures. The technology center participates in more than 200 large national and international consortium projects of high strategic R&I, has 230 patents and 10 spin-offs. Eurecat has eleven centers in Catalonia and presence in Madrid, Malaga and Chile. The Multimedia Technologies unit is formed by the Image and Audio research groups, as well as the Interactive Visualization development group. The Image group has expertise in applied research and development of computer vision technologies, including video processing, 3D reconstruction, image generation or earth observation algorithms. In particular, the team has extensive experience of more than 10 years in applied artificial intelligence systems such as object detection and semantic segmentation for autonomous driving, monoscopic 360 depth estimation in audiovisual post-production, cross-modal generative models including video, or satellite imaging enhancement. It has participated in several international projects (Autopost, 3Flex, Möbius), national (Framework, Look4You, AI4ES), regional (ViVIM, Mironins) as well as in several projects for private clients.Eurecat wishes to incorporate into its Area of MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGY located in Barcelona a:COMPUTER VISION / AI JUNIOR RESEARCHERFUNCTIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES:Preparation of technical proposals.Problem design and solving, state-of-the-art analysis.Experimentation and validation of methodologies.Writing technical reports and scientific papers.RequirementsKNOWLEDGE AND STUDIES:Candidates should have a degree and a master on computer science or related field, in particular machine learning and ideally computer vision. The Master's thesis is expected to be focused on Computer Vision.EXPERIENCE (Nice to have):Academic or professional experience in research or applied projects related with computer vision.Experience with deep learning frameworks and Tools (PyTorch+CUDA, TFlow, Tensorboard,...)Advanced skills in Python and bash scripting, clean writing, clean code maintenance.Other programming languages such as C++ or frameworks such as OpenCV or Slurm will be valuated positively.Linux companion and Git should be in your daily toolbox.Proved background in developing tools in the Media, Culture, and Arts sector is also valuable.
