About the roleThe Legal team turns complexity into clarity by partnering with teams across Revolut to provide sharp, practical advice that helps the business move fast while staying protected. From structuring credit programmes to navigating new markets, the Legal team ensures growth is secure, compliant, and built for the long term.
We're looking for a forward‑thinking Legal Counsel to handle a diverse range of complex intellectual property matters on a generalscale, from product approvals to high‑stakes litigation.
As a key member of a lean, high‑impact team of two (supported by a Paralegal), you'll have a direct hand in how our IP strategy evolves.
What you'll be doingIncreasing our global intellectual property portfolio through proactive registration and management
Limiting losses and managing risks associated with IP infringement claims and defensive IP processes
Providing legal guidance across various business units globally, ensuring products are cleared for launch through rigorous product approval processes
Handling pre‑dispute matters and active litigation regarding IP infringement in the UK and international markets
Advising on cutting‑edge technological elements and products that are new to the market, requiring creative legal solutions
Acting as a partner to the business by finding compliant “pathways to yes” rather than acting as a legal blocker
Drafting and prosecuting patents
Conducting thorough patentability and freedom‑to‑operate searches to assess the viability of new inventions and identify potential infringement risks
What you'll need3+ years of experience
Expertise in intellectual property law, specifically in registration, infringement claims, and defensive strategies
Experience dealing with IP matters across multiple jurisdictions (UK and global)
Experience preparing, filing and prosecuting high‑quality patent applications before the EPTO (and/or international patent office)
A solution‑oriented approach to be able to navigate legal blockers to achieve business goals
The ability to thrive in a fast‑paced technology company while working on new features
Fluency in English
