ph3Marine Gas Turbine Inspector (MGTI) – Rota, Spain /h3pAmentum is seeking a certified Marine Gas Turbine Inspector (MGTI) to join our team in Rota, Spain, supporting the Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center (FDRMC). This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in sustaining the operational readiness of U.S. Navy forward‑deployed forces in the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility. If you are looking to apply your expertise on a global stage while supporting the warfighter, this position offers both challenge and purpose. /ph3Essential Responsibilities /h3ulliProvide Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) to troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve casualties involving shipboard gas turbine engines and associated HME systems. /liliPerform on‑site and distant support for U.S. Navy vessels and shore‑based activities, including OCONUS locations. /liliConduct advanced diagnostics, repairs, and functional testing to restore propulsion and power generation systems to full operational status. /liliSupport System/Equipment Assessments, including TSRA, INSURV, ICMP, BMDRAs, and other readiness evaluations. /liliAssist with logistics support, including validation of Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) and identification of required repair parts. /liliProvide on‑the‑job training (OJT) and technical guidance to ship’s force personnel on operation, maintenance, and repair procedures. /liliDocument all work and findings using Navy systems (e.g., MFOM/NMD, FTS) and prepare formal reports/debriefs in accordance with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM). /liliParticipate in development and refinement of technical documentation, including Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), procedures, and manuals. /liliSupport Engineering Technical Branch (ETB) efforts, including system analysis, repair planning, and technical evaluations. /liliTravel as required to support forward‑deployed naval forces across multiple operational areas. /li /ulh3Minimum Requirements /h3ulliActive Marine Gas Turbine Inspector (MGTI) Certification (NEC 4136 or U07A) in accordance with OPNAVINST 9220.3 (must be current at time of hire and maintained throughout employment). /liliDemonstrated experience in the maintenance, installation, testing, and repair of U.S. Navy shipboard gas turbine engines (e.g., propulsion and ship service gas turbine generators). /liliProven ability to perform independent troubleshooting, fault isolation, and corrective maintenance at a journeyman level. /liliExperience supporting U.S. Navy HME systems in an operational or maintenance environment. /liliFamiliarity with Navy maintenance and reporting systems such as MFOM/NMD, FTS, and CASREP processes. /liliAbility to interpret and apply technical manuals, drawings, and engineering documentation. /liliWillingness and ability to travel frequently, including extended OCONUS deployments and shipboard embarkation. /liliAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. /liliStrong written and verbal communication skills. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications (not required) /h3ulliExperience supporting DDG-51, CG-47, or LCS class ships. /liliHands‑on experience with LM2500 gas turbine engines and associated control systems. /liliBackground in Gas Turbine Readiness Reviews (GTRRs), engine change‑outs, or major overhauls. /liliExperience working in a forward‑deployed or OCONUS operational environment, supporting naval forces in high‑tempo, mission‑critical settings. /liliFamiliarity with NAVSEA Standard Items and JFMM processes. /liliPrior experience providing FTA or working at a Regional Maintenance Center (RMC). /liliExperience with vibration analysis, rotor balancing, and advanced diagnostics. /liliPrevious role as an instructor or experience providing formal or informal technical training. /liliActive or recently held security clearance. /li /ulh3Compensation /h3pUSD 100,000 – 120,000 per year. /ppEEO statement: Amentum is committed to equal employment opportunity and encourages qualified applicants with disabilities, protected veterans, and other individuals protected under labor laws to apply. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
