Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for aMaterial Handlerin our Norfolk Virginia location who will be a key support in performing warehouse operations in Norfolk Virginia.
Job Description:
Accepts and signs for deliveries from freight carriers for inbound shipments.Loads and unloads delivery trucks from inbound and outbound freight carriers.Stocks equipment within the Depot warehouse utilizing pallet jacks, order pickers, forklifts, etcEnsures all equipment is stocked and stored in appropriate locations in the Warehouse.Processes inbound and outbound Out to Vendors (OTV) repair request.Provides shipment tracking details to the UNITS and PMO Office.Licensed order picker and forklift operator.Manages DRMO disposition process.Performs Physical Inventory and Cycle Count Audits.Prepares large orders for ShippingUpdates the ticketing system with pertinent information for CDRL reporting.Assist with PMI testing.Augments the Shipping and Receiving Clerk and Warehouse Specialists for surges or absences.Knowledgeable and understands DCMA standards for Government property management and storage.
Qualifications:
Must be High School graduateMust have Working knowledge and understanding of DCMA standards for government property managementMust be Familiar with OSHA standards for safety and hazardsMust have At least 3-years of experience in warehouse operationsMust be Licensed order picker and forklift operator
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with military organizations, protocols, procedures, and processes, and working knowledge of addressing issues/concerns using the chain-of-command is preferred.Air Force experience preferred
Security Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards, and naval installations.
Travel Requirements:
If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
