CRAG is an independent research institution engaged in leading-edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences. CRAG is established as a Consortium of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and University of Barcelona (UB). The Center is located at the UAB Campus, and currently hosts 200 members from across the world. The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a Postdoc Researcher to be part of the group Epigenetics and Plant Development. We are looking for a highly talented and creative new team member with a strong interest in epigenetics and plant development. The postdoctoral scientist is expected to conduct innovative research to investigate the epigenome dynamics underlying Arabidopsis thaliana seed germination and early seedling development. The candidate will be in charge of generation of (1) ChIP‑seq, RNA‑seq and ATAC‑seq data, (2) CRISPR‑edited plants, and (3) integrative data analyses. The tasks are included within the framework of the project EPIC_SEED “Uncovering the epigenetic mechanisms driving the seed‑to‑seedling transition in plants”. REQUIREMENTS: Educational requirements: PhD in Plant Biology or related field.
