Applicants who have completed their studies at foreign institutions may convert their grades using through the Spanish online portal for grade equivalence.- On the application deadline, have no more than four years of full-time equivalent research experience.- Not have been enrolled in a doctoral programme prior to the start of the contract.- Not have previously signed a predoctoral contract. It would be valuable if the candidate meets these additional aspects:- Ability to provide up to three reference letters in English from university professors or other relevant referees. If the candidate is selected in the internal call, the internal grant would cover a period of one-year starting in September 2026. The salary during the PhD period will be conditioned also by the grant obtained. The research activities will focus on evaluating the effects of plastic chemical additives on bioindicator organisms, determining their impact on key ecosystem services, and contributing to an integrated understanding of the risks associated with plastic contamination in soil ecosystems. This approach will link the physicochemical processes currently investigated in the AddiPlaS project (Grant PID2 OB-I00 funded by MCIN/AEI) with their ecological consequences, providing a solid scientific basis for the sustainable management of soils. The PhD thesis will integrate experiments at different scales (micro- and mesocosms), as well as spatial field surveys, shedding light on the role of additives in the environmental risk associated with plastic contamination. Additionally, the work will involve ecotoxicological techniques, including experimental assays and biochemical biomarkers, with a strong commitment to long-term experiments and the handling of living organisms. If you are interest in applying for the Internal Grant for a one-year bridging research contract, please submit the following documents to , indicating “AEB-SWQ expression of interest” in the subject line of the email:- An updated CV in English- An official transcript of grades with the academic record that includes the student’s first and last name(s), the university, the studies completed and all courses and grades listed year by year.- If the degree has been completed before the application deadline, the transcript must indicate the total number of credits required for the degree and number of credits awarded. xcskxlj - If the degree is still in progress, candidates must present the academic record in its current state at the time of submitting the application.Deadline to submit your expression of interest: May 31st, 2026.#J-18808-Ljbffr
