pbProcurement Manager /b /ppbr/ppVelto Renewables (Velto), a subsidiary of La Caisse (Caisse de Dépôt et Placement de Québec), is looking for a Procurement Manager to join its team in Madrid, Spain, and work closely with the Head of PMO (Project Management Office). /ppbr/ppVelto owns and operates more than 130 solar photovoltaic projects in Spain and France, with a total installed capacity exceeding 607 MW. These assets generate over 936 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to power more than 266,000 homes, while avoiding over 77,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. Additionally, Velto provides asset management services for La Caisse’s 25% investment in the London Array, one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms. Located 20 km off the coast of Kent, this 630 MW project produces over 2,300 GWh annually, preventing 287,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. /ppbr/ppReporting directly to the Head of PMO, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for centralizing, standardizing, and optimizing all purchasing activities across Velto's organization, ensuring operational continuity for our renewable assets while driving cost efficiency and vendor excellence. /p pbResponsibilities /b /ppbr/ppb 1. Company-Wide Procurement Responsibility /b /pulliManage all company purchases, including operations, maintenance, finance, legal, IT, consulting, and services. /liliEnsure all departments follow a centralized and controlled procurement process. /liliStandardize purchasing practices across the organization. /li /ulpb 2. Operations Maintenance Support /b /pulliEnsure materials, spare parts, and services are always available to prevent operational downtime. /liliSupport maintenance teams with timely purchasing aligned with OM schedules. /liliSecure critical supplies to guarantee the continuous operation of renewable assets. /li /ulpb 3. Vendor Qualification /b /pulliIdentify reliable suppliers for all companyneeds. /liliVerify vendor quality, certifications, financial stability, and relevant experience. /liliEnsure only qualified vendors are used across all departments /li /ulpb 4. Vendor Management /b /pulliMaintain and manage supplier relationships company-wide. /liliMonitor vendor performance (quality, cost, delivery, service). /liliResolve issues and replace underperforming vendors as needed. /li /ulpb 5. Purchasing Cost Control /b /pulliCompare quotations and negotiate the best prices and payment terms. /liliEnsure cost efficiency and strict adherence to budget control. /liliAvoid unnecessary spending while maintaining quality and service levels /li /ulpb6. Order Delivery /b /pulliManagementIssue and manage purchase orders. /liliTrack deliveries and ensure timelines are met. /liliCoordinate with internal teams and suppliers /li /ulpbr/ppb Education and experience /b /pulliBachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management; /liliExcellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish; /lili5-8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles, with a focus on industrial or energy sectors; /lili2+ years of relevant experience within the renewable energy industry (solar PV, wind, or BESS);Desirable experience with ERP systems (MSFT Dynamics, SAP, Navision) for purchase order management; /liliDesirable experience in vendor qualification and contract negotiation. /li /ul
