At Faes Farma, where we unite passion, science and innovation to transform people's health, we are looking to incorporate a Research Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry.We are seeking to add to our Drug Discovery R&D team a professional with a strong background in medicinal chemistry who will contribute to the design and development of new chemical entities with therapeutic potential.What will your mission be?Actively participate in drug discovery projects, from defining scientific strategies to compound optimization, contributing to the advancement of drug candidates.Main responsibilitiesContribute to the definition of project objectives and scientific strategies.Design and synthesize new chemical entities applying knowledge of organic and medicinal chemistry.Progressively lead workstreams within medicinal chemistry projects.Manage compound optimization based on biological results, ADMETox and profiling studies.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (biology, ADMET, pharmacology, etc.).Use computational tools and collaborate with external partners to accelerate projects.Maintain high laboratory productivity standards through efficient planning.Analyze results, prepare reports and communicate progress to the team.Participate in the drafting of patents, scientific publications and technical documentation.RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy.PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment or academic laboratory in organic/medicinal chemistry.Strong experience in organic synthesis (multi-step synthesis), purification and characterization.Knowledge of ADMETox properties and PK/PD relationships.High level of English (spoken and written).Preferred qualificationsExperience in flow chemistry, parallel synthesis or automated platforms.Interest or experience in the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning applied to drug discovery.Ability to identify and solve problems independently.Strong communication and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary environments.Experience or knowledge in ophthalmology (a plus).
