Experteer Overview
In this role you contribute to the regional mechanical engineering effort for Fluor Plant Engineering in Tarragona, supporting EPCM projects across energy and process sectors. You will develop and review deliverables, coordinate with process, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams, and provide on-site technical support during construction and start-up. Your work helps ensure safe, operable, and maintainable installations. This is a collaborative, cross-functional role with a focus on continuous improvement and compliant design.

• Prepare and review mechanical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, calculations, drawings) per project requirements and standards
• Support piping and equipment layout development ensuring safety, operability, and maintainability
• Evaluate vendor proposals and assist procurement for mechanical equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated designs
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and start-up, resolving field queries
• Ensure adherence to company standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOP sessions
• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the regional engineering team
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial projects (oil u0026 gas, chemical, energy, or similar)
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software
• Strong understanding of international codes and standards (ASME, API, EN)
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Availability for punctual business travel
• Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located
