If this sounds like a culture you would like to work in, you’re invited to apply for this role. /p h3Job Description /h3 pSenior Purchasing Manager is a key member responsible for executing procurement activities for materials and equipment in support of complex projects from pre-award through closeout. /p ul liExecute purchasing activities and strategy development for critical engineered equipment and major bulk materials in accordance with project requirements and material management plans /li liReview the project scope of work and prime contract and develop modifications to standard templates and terms and conditions for review /li liPrepare bid packages, manage bidder communications and clarification meetings and administer quotation timelines /li liConduct commercial bid evaluations evaluating pricing, terms, delivery, compliance and risk against project baseline documents /li liIssue purchase orders and manage them through the full lifecycle, including change orders, price adjustments and supplier exceptions /li liEffectively negotiate and recommend resolution to terms and conditions exceptions /li liNegotiate and resolve any claims related items regarding material /li liAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines /li liValidate supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner /li liProvide guidance and support to intermediate and junior buyers on the project team /li liCollaborate closely with Engineering, Construction, Logistics, and other project stakeholders /li liLead weekly purchasing meetings to align expectations and schedules /li liPlan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff /li liOrganize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines /li liAdhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety Environmental and Sustainability Policies /li liMay need to travel to attend to business related matters /li liMeet expectations on attendance and punctuality /li liOther duties as assigned /li /ul h3Basic Job Requirements /h3 ul liAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years* of work‑related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen (14) years* if non‑degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements /li liAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders /li liJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job /li liAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines /li liAbility to attend to detail and work in a time‑conscious and time‑effective manner /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liApplicable professional certification(s) or license(s) /li liExperience should be primarily in the area of material management /li liExcellent interpersonal and communication skills /li liExcellent leadership and decision‑making skills /li /ul h3To be Considered Candidates /h3 pMust be authorized to work in the country where the position is located. /p pWe are an equal opportunity employer.
