This person must be process and controls oriented, open minded, continuous improvement focused, and able to motivate the team for a high level of performance.Ensures adherence to CSS Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Risk Control Matrices (RCMs), and drives continuous and controlled improvement processes throughout span of responsibilitiesDrives prioritization and clarity in day-to-day tasks for teamKey ResponsibilitiesResponsible for various accounting processes that are part of the accounting closeKnowledge in Banking Management and FX transactionPerform various complex accounting tasks as needed including account reconciliations, analysis, and journal entry preparation as requiredProvide support for ongoing audit requirements including quarterly and annual internal and external compliance auditsImplement process improvements that contribute to increased efficiency and controlsPrioritize ongoing tasks, project work, and other initiatives, for selfApply technical accounting knowledge, Excel skills, and General Ledger skills to resolve problems, identify improvement opportunitiesMonitor operation effectiveness using KPI’s and dashboards, determining organizational health and readinessMaintain strong accounting controls by complying with established RCM’s, process narratives and accounting principles and policiesProtect organization’s value by keeping information confidentialAssist in development and implementation of new procedures, processes and automations to enhance the workflow of the department.Experiences/Education - RequiredBachelor’s degree in accounting or financeAccounting coursework through Intermediate Accounting II2+ years experience as a Financial/Accounting AnalystUnderstanding of Shared Services operationsBasic understanding of US GAAPPeopleSoft, SAP ECC, and SAP S4Hana ERP knowledgeUnderstanding of transactional, functional and reporting currencyTeam PlayerAbility to act under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and oral communicationOrganization and attention to detailAnalytical and problem-solving skillsTime managementData AnalyticsMathematical and deductive reasoningCritical thinkingActive learningOpen mindedHighly collaborativeCorning Puts YOU First!We are committed to supporting your health, financial, career development, and life goals as you grow professionally and personally to achieve your highest potential.
