Overview
In this role you will design and engineer the IoT mobile core and IP network components to support Vodafone's IoT and consumer electronics ambitions. You will translate high-level designs into implementable solutions, shaping the IoT reference framework and platform roadmap. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure connectivity and performance for the multi-year IoT program. This position offers impact through network design leadership and hands-on integration across complex environments.

ResponsabilidadesReview and challenge HLDs for Mobile Packet Core & IP networks and translate them into LLDsCreate detailed design documentation with configuration matrices and security guidanceDevelop the Mobile Core network strategy and 3–5 year IoT evolution roadmapOversee capacity management of the networkMake decisions affecting project schedules and deliverablesMentor colleagues and share experience with the teamProvide timely problem analysis and escalation when neededLead integration and testing activities for new nodes and interfaces (3GPP, DNS/RADIUS/PCRF/IMS)
Requisitos principalesUniversity degree in telecommunication, electrical/electronic or similarIndustry certifications such as CCNA, CCIE, JCNIEHands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Mobile Core elements (SGSN/CGSN, MME, GGSN/PGW)5+ years with 2G/3G/4G/LTE mobile packet core nodesStrong understanding of call protocols, call flows, and mobile productsKnowledge of 5G technologies and CloudAbility to lead virtual technology teams and manage multiple stakeholdersExperience with integrating 3GPP interfaces to external nodesAbility to work independently and demonstrate SME capabilityStrong network design documentation skillsUnderstanding of NFV, OSS/BSS tools, MOP creationKnowledge of MPLS and BGP; Linux with scripting (Python, Perl)Leadership and mentorshipSelf-motivation and initiativeStakeholder managementMobile Packet Core routing and architectures (SGSN/CGSN, MME, GGSN/PGW)IP networking (switching, routing, firewalls, load balancers)Cloud fundamentals
