European Tech Recruit are working closely with an exciting quantum software company, based in San Sebastian, who are looking for a talented Strategic Account Executive to join their team. This role is purely business-driven and focused on commercial execution. The successful candidate will act as a trusted strategic partner to public institutions, capable of engaging at executive and political levels and closing high-value, multi-year AI contracts (7–8 figures). Responsibilities as Strategic Account Executive: Define and execute the commercial growth strategy for the public sector in Spain. Identify, develop, and close large AI contracts with public administrations and public institutions. Build and manage a robust pipeline of strategic accounts and long-term opportunities. Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with: Ministries and Secretariats of State, regional governments and public agencies, CIOs, CTOs, Chief Data / AI Officers, and executive leadership. Lead complex public procurement processes, including: public tenders, framework agreement and direct negotiations where applicable. Requirements: 8+ years of experience in strategic sales, business development, or account management within the public sector. Proven track record of closing large, complex commercial contracts with public administrations. Strong understanding of public procurement and contracting processes in Spain. Experience selling complex technology or infrastructure-backed solutions. Comfortable operating at executive and political decision-making levels. Strong negotiation, influence, and stakeholder management skills. High level of autonomy, credibility, and strategic thinking. Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
