In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform high quality analysis to support business development and strategy definition. Each day, you will cover potential growth opportunities, financial modeling, and competitive analysis. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing high impact reports and presentations for the steering committee/division/corporate review. Work model for the role is: hybrid This role is contributing to the Process Industries Division in Automation Business Area. Main stakeholders are countries, business lines and functions. Work closely with Process Industries’ three business lines at a global level to align and prioritize their strategic initiatives Considering the overall strategic goals of the division, translating their strategic plans into actionable tasks, ensuring that these tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. These initiatives will relate to our division’s strategic focus areas including digital, sustainability, automation, service, among others. The Key Tasks And Responsibilities Of The Role Are Support division and cross‑division strategic analysis and initiatives to secure continuous and profitable growth for ABB. Secure execution and implementation: defining priorities & target, monitoring progress & risks, establishing metrics to measure success, and developing change management plans. Optimize processes and reporting: ensuring projects follow sound methodology and execution practices, synthesizing facts into clear analysis, and preparing comprehensive reports for management. Collaborate with business line leaders and teams in development of M&A and partnership pipeline, company profiles of potential targets, and deal thesis for acquisitions, JVs, divestments and partnerships. Play an active role on commercial due diligence processes, including preparation of presentation materials for internal stakeholders, from initial assessment to due diligence, negotiations, pre‑closing, integration preparations, covering various transaction types such as acquisitions, divestments, and JVs. Key Requirements To succeed in this role, you bring a strong foundation in business strategy, with at least five years of experience shaping and delivering strategic initiatives. You are experienced in driving organizational change and transformation, and you thrive in dynamic, evolving environments. You ideally have exposure to industries such as mining, pulp & paper, metals, cement, recycling, or similar sectors, and/or experience in automation, services, or digital solutions. You are highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, and you may also have experience with Power Apps. You combine strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate insights into clear, strategic recommendations. You communicate effectively and build strong relationships, working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. This role offers flexibility in terms of location. We welcome applications from candidates based in Switzerland; however, please note that relocation support is not provided.
