AFES Group is a trusted international provider of claims services,operatingin more than 20 countries across Europe. At AFES Spain, we manage claims on behalf of our clients, with a particular focus on4thMIDmotor vehicle liability claims. As AFES Spain continues to grow, we are looking for a ClaimsAdjustmentTeam Lead to build our domestic claims team in Madrid from scratch(non 4thMID/Internal Regulations). Your Role You will build and lead the domestic claims team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day claims handling. The role focuses on claims arising from accidents in Spain, especially motor liability claims involving material damage and bodily injury. Over the next year, the team is expected to grow to approximately 13 people. You will help set up practical workflows, guide new colleagues, and ensure high-quality claims handling from the beginning. This role does not focus on Green Card claims or social insurance recovery. Key Responsibilities Build the domestic claims team in Spain from scratch Actively handle domestic motor liability claims Support complex claims, liability assessments, settlement decisions, and escalations Help recruit, onboard, train, and guide new team members Establish practical workflows, quality standards, and escalation processes Coordinate daily priorities, case allocation, and team support Communicate with insurers, claimants, lawyers, experts, repair networks, and other partners Ensure claims are handled in line with Spanish legal requirements, market practices, and client expectations Your Profile Strong hands‑on experience in domestic claims handling in Spain Solid knowledge of motor liability claims, including material damage and bodily injury Experience supporting, coordinating, or leading claims colleagues Good understanding of Spanish liability law, claims procedures, and insurance market practices Proficiency with CICOS and CAS Comfortable building structures, processes, and a team from the beginning Willingness to stay actively involved in claims handling Fluent Spanish and strong English language skills Practical, structured, hands‑on, and solution‑oriented working style What We Offer The opportunity to build a domestic claims team in Spain from scratch A hands‑on team lead role with active claims handling The chance to grow the team to approximately 13 people within the next year Strong influence on workflows, standards, and team culture An international environment with flat hierarchies and open communication Professional development within a stable European organization #J-18808-Ljbffr
