is advising a private equity firm in the identification of a Vice President to join its investment team in Spain.
The role is designed for an experienced investment professional who combines strong execution capabilities with the ability to take ownership of transactions and contribute to value creation initiatives across the portfolio.
This position offers direct exposure to senior stakeholders and active participation in investment decision-making processes within a dynamic and performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Execution
Lead and manage transactions across the full investment lifecycle: screening, evaluation, structuring, execution and closing
Build and review complex financial models (LBO, valuation, scenario analysis)
Coordinate external advisors (financial, legal, commercial, tax) during due diligence processes
Prepare and present investment materials to internal committees
Deal Origination & Market Coverage
Support origination efforts through proactive market mapping and relationship development
Maintain and expand a network of intermediaries, advisors and corporate stakeholders
Contribute to the identification of off-market opportunities
Portfolio Management & Value Creation
Monitor performance of portfolio companies and track key value drivers
Support strategic initiatives alongside management teams (growth, operational improvement, add-ons)
Participate in board meetings and governance processes where required
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with Partners and senior team members in investment strategy and execution
Mentor junior team members (Analysts / Associates)
Contribute to internal knowledge development and best practices
Candidate Profile
Experience
5–10 years of relevant experience in
Private Equity, Investment Banking (M&A) or Transaction Services
Demonstrated track record in executing transactions
Experience across mid-market environments is highly valued
Technical & Analytical Skills
Advanced financial modelling and valuation capabilities
Strong understanding of deal structuring and transaction processes
Ability to assess both financial and strategic aspects of investments
Soft Skills & Leadership
High level of ownership and accountability
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders and management xcskxlj teams
Commercial mindset with sound judgment under pressure
Other Requirements
Fluent in Spanish and English
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or similar (MBA is a plus)
