NoOffer DescriptionAbout the research groupThe pancreas regeneration team is part of the Oncobell department at IDIBELL and the Department of Physiological Science at University of Barcelona-Campus Bellvitge. The team has several projects focused on pancreas biology, pancreas regeneration and pancreatic cancer with a special focused on pancreatic ductal cells.About the roleThe candidate will join an international research team focused on investigating pancreas regeneration and pancreatic cancer. The candidate will be involved in the analysis of several bioinformatic data generated in the lab, such as RNA-seq, single cell RNA-seq, multiome and spatial transcriptomicsWe are looking for a highly driven, motivated and enthusiastic candidate with the following qualifications:Job requirementsProfessional experienceAt least 3 years of experience in a research laboratory performing high-throughput omics analyses (single cell RNA seq analysis and multiome analysis)Education and trainingBachelors degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related fields.Technical & soft skillsStrong programming skills in R and Python and a scripting languageExperience with sequence analysis and motif discovery toolsExperience with single-cell and/or high-throughput sequencing analysesExperience with data analysis and machine learningUse of version control software and GitHubExperience working with Linux environment and ability to work on a HPC (High Performance Computer)Work in multidisciplinary projectsLanguagesGood command of the English languageWe will value, but not requiredA Masters degree in these fields will be positively valued.What do we offerNo. of positions: 1Estimated start date: September 2026Contract duration: Permanent by projectEstimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay ranges.You will be part of a multicultural team.
