The Agroecology Fund is seeking a Grant Lead to join their global, remote team. This full-time position is integral to supporting grassroots‑led agroecology movements that promote climate justice, food sovereignty, and resilient food systems worldwide. Schedule: Must work Eastern Standard Time (EST) Position Type: Full‑time, open‑ended Application Deadline: See detailed job description The Grants Lead manages participatory grant‑making processes, collaborates with movement partners and advisors, and ensures funding aligns with community‑led priorities. The position offers a chance to oversee resource distribution in partnership with grassroots movements across regions. Responsibilities Lead Grantmaking Operations Review and refine grant‑making procedures Prepare grant calendars and guidelines Manage online application platforms and communication with applicants Coordinate review processes with contractors and advisors Support advisory board meetings and grant recommendations Oversee grantee disbursements in collaboration with fiscal sponsors Monitor workflow processes and ensure compliance Prepare annual reports on grant cycles and lessons learned Contribute to process improvements and special projects Support Regional Funds Provide advisory support to regional grant teams Coordinate grant calendars and processes across regions Help improve regional grant‑making workflows Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in philanthropy, including grant‑making and due diligence Experience working across diverse cultures and international contexts Knowledge of agroecology movements and current global issues in the field Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or French preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and grant management platforms (e.g., Submit, Submittable) Ability to work in a multicultural, mission‑driven environment Impact Improved global food security and nutrition Increased biodiversity and ecosystem health Climate justice advocacy Benefits Salary: $85,000–$95,000 (based on location and experience) Full benefits package Full‑time, open‑ended contract Remote work with EST hours Equal Opportunity Employer The Agroecology Fund values diversity and encourages applications from women, people of color, bilingual and bicultural individuals, and members of LGBTQ+ communities.
