As the AI Director, you will define a transformative vision for leveraging artificial intelligence across all areas of the business—from internal processes to customer-facing solutions. You'll build and lead a high-performing team of AI specialists, drive innovation through research and experimentation, and ensure scalable, ethical, and effective deployment of AI technologies. The role requires both deep technical knowledge and strong strategic thinking, combined with a hands-on leadership approach.Accountabilities:Develop and own the company's AI strategy, aligning it with long-term business goalsIdentify key opportunities to apply AI across products, services, and operationsBuild and mentor a world-class team of AI engineers, data scientists, and researchersOversee AI project lifecycles, from ideation and prototyping to deployment and optimizationEnsure responsible AI practices including fairness, transparency, and accountabilityCollaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and executive teams to drive cross-functional successRepresent the AI function internally and externally, including with clients and partnersRequirementsAdvanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field8-10+ years of experience in AI/ML development with 3-5+ years leading technical teamsDeep knowledge of machine learning methods, NLP, computer vision, and MLOps practicesProficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learnStrong background in data engineering, model deployment, and cloud infrastructureDemonstrated ability to convert complex business challenges into AI solutionsExcellent communication and leadership skills; fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)BenefitsFlexible work options: full remote or office-based in Barcelona with Mediterranean viewsCompetitive salary and permanent full-time contract25 vacation days + your birthday off, with no blackout periodsSummer schedule: 35-hour workweek in July and AugustPrivate health insurance with dental and psychological coverageLearning & development budget plus internal training programsOffice perks including free coffee, fruit, snacks, rooftop terrace, and game roomMeal and childcare vouchers paid directly from gross salaryJobgether hiring process disclaimerThis job is posted on behalf of one of our partner companies.
