We are seeking a highly motivated Applications Engineer to join our team in Spain. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work at the leading edge of technical solution delivery and system integration. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, testing, and optimisation of engineering applications, with a focus on enhancing functionality and performance for demanding engineering applications. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team bridging the gap between concept and production-ready solutions. Responsibilities Lead and support the deployment of new software and hardware applications, with emphasis on integration and advanced alloy manufacturing workflows. Characterise and optimise application performance (e.g., reliability, user efficiency, thermal performance, and system compatibility). Conduct experimental testing and analysis of application feedstocks and integrated systems. Collaborate with process engineers and design teams to ensure application performance aligns with end-use applications. Develop and maintain technical databases, test standards, and qualification processes for new applications. Support R&D projects, contributing to technical reports, publications, and presentations for clients. Stay current with emerging applications, technologies, and industry standards in related manufacturing methods. Experience / Who You Are Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Proven experience in technical applications development or systems engineering within a manufacturing context. Strong background in physical and functional characterisation (mechanical, thermal, or system analysis). Hands-on experience with testing techniques and validation tools for complex engineering systems. Ability to design and execute experiments, interpret data, and draw actionable conclusions for stakeholders. Proficiency in technical reporting and the ability to communicate results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of how applications interact with design (DfAM) and material-process behaviors. Familiarity with simulation tools (FEA) or engineering software for testing application behavior.
