As we scale our presence, we're seeking entrepreneurial Area Sales Managers to drive growth in new markets.Role OverviewThe Area Sales Manager will be responsible for building Urbio’s presence in assigned territories by generating new business opportunities and developing relationships with municipalities, public authorities, distributors, and infrastructure partners.This is a hunter role focused on creating business from scratch. The successful candidate will spend most of their time in the field, meeting prospects and developing long-term commercial opportunities across their region.What You'll Be SellingUrbio Led's connected LED street lighting systems, including luminaires, sensors, remote monitoring and control software, and integrations with our ecosystem of solutions. You'll be positioning both the hardware and the software/energy-savings value proposition to public and private stakeholders and acting as their main point of contact throughout the whole process.What We OfferOpportunity to be a founding members of the Sales team in Spain.High level of autonomy and direct collaboration with executive leadership.International, entrepreneurial work environment.Competitive compensation package with uncapped performance-based incentives.A luxury company car and travel allowance for field-based work.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop new markets and build sales pipelines from the ground up.Identify and acquire new customers through cold outreach, networking, and most importantly, field sales.Visit municipalities, city councils, public institutions, contractors, and distributors across the assigned region.Travel extensively within the territory to meet prospects and develop business opportunities.Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing.Identify and qualify public tenders, working closely with the technical/pre-sales team on proposals.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional growth opportunities.Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using the company CRM.Required Qualifications5+ years of Enterprise B2B/B2G sales experience with a proven track record of growing sales from zero and developing new markets, ideally within long sales-cycle environments (12–24 months).Direct experience selling to municipalities, public authorities, or through public procurement/tenders.Experience in street lighting, energy, Smart City, infrastructure, or electrical equipment industries.Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Comfortable with intensive field sales and frequent regional travel.Self-driven, resilient, and able to work independently.Fluent English required; fluency in the local language of the assigned territory is mandatory, given the relationship-driven nature of public-sector sales.Ideal CandidateTrue hunter with a strong new business mindset.Persistent, resilient, and results-driven — comfortable opening doors and creating opportunities where none exist.Excellent communicator with advanced persuasion and negotiation skills.Motivated by ambitious growth targets and working autonomously.Support You'll HaveYou won't be selling alone: a pre-sales and a technical team who supports proposal development and technical qualification, and a delivery/implementation team takes over the heavy lifting after contract signature, so you can focus mainly on new business.Our marketing department will support you with lead generation campaigns, sales collateral (Written & Video) and premium participation to relevant industry events and conferences.Ready to light up new markets?
