About Voltrac
At Voltrac, we are on a mission to strengthen Europe’s food security and defence with an autonomous electric tractor that frees farmers from drudgery and protects soldiers. The 3.5‑tonne platform is now field‑tested in vineyards, olive orchards and citrus groves across Spain, and we are gearing up to manufacture 100 units per year to meet growing sales demand.
Founded in 2024 by Francisco Infante Aguirre – former developer of hydrogen‑powered supersonic planes and eVTOLs – and Thomas Hubregtsen – ex‑ML engineer at Google X, IBM and BMW – Voltrac combines cutting‑edge AI with deep farming experience. The team is supported by investors such as Extantia, Foodlabs, Antler, Push and Prototype, and works from a 1200 m² facility in Valencia that features natural‑light office and workshop space.
We are a young, diverse team committed to shaping agriculture and defence with machines that do real work.
Responsibilities
You will own the autonomy stack end‑to‑end, from raw data ingestion to production deployments. Your work will include:
Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines, including cleaning, organizing, and labeling.
Select, train and iterate on machine learning models for autonomy.
Design and run testing campaigns in virtual environments and real‑world sites such as vineyards, olive orchards and citrus groves.
Define and implement verification and safety criteria.
Own deployment: shipping new models, monitoring performance and communicating changes to end users.
If you have deep experience in only part of this stack, we are open to shaping the role or splitting it across autonomy engineering, data engineering, and / or cloud. We strongly prefer a “skunkworks‑style” team where everyone has high ownership and broad autonomy.
Requirements
Strong, hands‑on coding ability and solid software engineering fundamentals.
Awareness of the state of the art in autonomous systems and a practical sense of what is ready for the field.
Track record of deploying models that work outside of a notebook or slide deck.
Willingness to go on site and test on real machines with real constraints.
Ability to work in a self‑directed way on your own topics while actively collaborating with engineers, technicians, operators and sales.
Fluent in English; conversational Spanish is a plus.
Ability to responsibly use AI. (Readiness for precision agriculture not required.)
Benefits
We offer a competitive base salary, equity participation plan, aid in relocation, and sales bonuses. We also tailor perks to your needs and would love to hear what you value.
