Hadco Limited is looking for a Baler Operator for South West area (C3 Centre, Corinth, San Fernando).DepartmentPaper & Cardboard RecyclingEmployment TypeB- Full TimeJob SummaryThe Baler Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining and ensuring the efficient performance of the downstroke baling machine at client locations. The role includes collection and processing of cardboard, safe operation of equipment, daily housekeeping, communication with dispatch/office personnel and maintaining accurate records of production and supplies.Duties & Essential Job FunctionsOperate baling machine to produce clean, securely tied cardboard bales.Collect cardboard from designated areas and transport to baler for processing.Load clean, loose cardboard into the machine and remove finished bales using pallet jack.Ensure the supplier’s compound remains free of backlog and that bales are stored neatly.Monitor wire supply and request replenishment before depletion.Perform basic maintenance, cleaning and end-of-day shutdown procedures.Communicate with dispatcher or Operations Manager or Business Development Officer for bale collections.Promptly report malfunctions, hazards or operational issues.Maintain accurate records: bale counts, wire usage, inspections and daily logs.Other Functions And ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as assigned by the General Manager, Operations Manager or designate.Minimum QualificationsCompletion of Secondary SchoolAbility to read and write and understand instructionsRequired QualificationsFive (5) Ordinary Level PassesAttention to DetailOrganized and EfficientAble to utilize Critical Thinking and Problem Solving.Ability to communicate wellTeam PlayerPreferred QualificationsExperience in Customer ServiceAbility to multitaskRequired Licenses/CertificationsCertificate of CharacterPhysical Requirements/Work EnvironmentThe role is based at the C3 Centre, in Corinth, San Fernando. The role requires various activities such as bending, lifting, walking, sitting, turning and repetitive motion. It is essential that all HSE policies and procedures are followed and activities such as bending, lifting, climbing etc. must be done in the correct manner. Employees must wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to ensure that any risk to self, others, or property is minimized.
