pThe Green Recruitment Company is in the search of a Project Director-Head to expand a BESS utility scale platform. to oversee the execution of our BESS portfolio projects in Europe. /ppbr/ppThe position is based in Madrid and the candidate will be in charge of progressing projects from late‑stage development through to Final Investment Decision (FID), ensuring every asset meets technical standards, has solid contractual foundations, and is fully financeable. /ppbr/ppWill serve as the central link between development, commercial, legal, engineering, and finance, establishing the contractual and commercial foundations required for deployment at scale. /ppbr/ppResponsibilities: /pulliResponsible for advancing projects from late‑stage development to FID, ensuring coherence across technical, commercial, and contractual workstreams. /liliLead the negotiation and execution of essential project agreements, including EPC, BESS supply, LTSA/OM, grid connection, land, and revenue‑related contracts. /liliCoordinate multidisciplinary internal teams and external experts to confirm bankability requirements are met. /liliManage financial close processes in collaboration with the finance function. /liliDevelop contracting strategies that distribute risk appropriately across all stakeholders to lead negotiations with OEMs, EPC contractors, suppliers, and offtakers. /liliEnsure all agreements meet market standards for performance guarantees, LDs, warranties, and security provisions. /liliOversee contract amendments and manage claims‑related risks during the pre‑construction phase. /liliDesign and manage competitive procurement processes for major equipment and construction packages. /liliRun RFPs for BESS integrators, EPCs, and key balance‑of‑plant suppliers. /liliAssess bids from commercial, technical, and risk perspectives. /liliNegotiate framework agreements to support deployment across the portfolio. /liliTrack supply chain conditions, including pricing trends, lead times, and market dynamics in batteries and power electronics. /liliAct as the primary interface between development, engineering, legal, and finance teams. /liliEstablish execution plans, budgets, and governance frameworks for each project. /liliProvide regular reporting to senior leadership and investors on progress and FID readiness. /liliBuild scalable processes, templates, and best practices to support the platform’s growth. /li /ulpbr/ppRequirements: /pulliPlus 10 years of experience in infrastructure, renewable energy, or power projects with a strong foundation in contract negotiation and commercial project management. /liliProven history of steering energy or infrastructure assets through FID and financial close, supported by a deep understanding of EPC contracting, equipment supply agreements, and risk allocation principles. /liliExperience in battery storage, renewables, or grid infrastructure is highly preferred, alongside demonstrated capability in structured procurement and tender processes. /liliPossess strong financial literacy and engage confidently with lenders and investors. /liliFluency in English and Spanish. /li /ul
