Job Responsibilities
Perform heavy fabrication tasks according to drawings and specifications.
Understand plans and specifications to determine correct setup and welding processes.
Set up and execute welding processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Maintain quality and accuracy in fabricated components.
Utilise hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and measuring instruments.
Operate power tools including buffing wheels, drills, polishers, and grinders.
Align parts using precision tools and instruments.
Weld using GMAW and FCAW methods, and operate oxyacetylene and plasma cutting equipment.
Perform flame heating and bending as needed.
Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Ability to work independently within a small team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
