What will you do?As Business Director you will lead the company's global growth strategy across carbon credit and nature capital markets, integrating Business Development, Commercial Strategy and Strategic Positioning. You will be working closely with the rest of the areas and with the teams in Europe, Brazil, Australia and Mexico to ensure coherent execution and alignment with Carbon2Nature’s long‑term objectives.This role is critical to strengthening C2N’s market position, with commercial leadership at its core. By expanding commercial performance, defining and executing a global sales strategy, proactively building high-value partnerships and developing a strategy for project development and informed investment decisions, the Director will directly contribute to expanding Carbon2Nature’s impact and influence across these markets.What will your main tasks be?Commercial Strategy and Sales Management
Design and execute the commercial and revenue strategy, aligned with project portfolio.
Lead high‑value client acquisition and develop value propositions tailored to strategic audiences.
Develop and manage relationships with national and international clients and negotiate and execute key contracts (spot, offtake, long‑term agreements).
Coordinate commercial materials and positioning, working actively to enhance visibility, build strategic partnerships and support commercial campaigns.Business Development
Define and drive C2N’s long‑term project portfolio growth strategy and investment framework, aligned with client needs and market trends.
Build a scalable long-term pipeline of high‑quality carbon projects and coordinate the evaluation, structuring and approval of new projects, ensuring rigorous integration of technical, financial, legal and compliance requirements.
Lead relationships with strategic partners, co-financiers and offtake allies.
Ensure consistent, efficient and traceable processes across all countries.Market Intelligence and Strategic Positioning
Lead the market intelligence function to support strategic decision-making, aligning regulatory and market insights with subsidiaries and internal teams.
Represent C2N in sectoral forums and improve C2N's international visibility.What do we require?
Advanced academic background in Business, Sustainability, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
Significant senior experience (8+ years) in commercial leadership, business development or sales, ideally within carbon markets, natural capital or environmental asset trading.
Strong strategic mindset, with proven ability to make decisions, lead teams and drive revenue growth in complex markets.
C2-level English, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and strong client‑facing capabilities.
High proficiency in MS Office and command of sales management tools.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with ability to translate market and business insights into strategic actions.
Good understanding of the carbon credit market, its investment and transaction models, and the sustainability agenda driving client needs.
Availability for international travel and participation in industry events.Preferred Experience (Highly Valued)
Proven track record in carbon credit or environmental asset sales across different transaction types and with diverse client profiles, including large corporate buyers; existing client portfolio is a plus.
International experience and execution of project investment and commercial operations across Europe, Latin America and Australia.
Proven experience with Nature‑based Solutions (NbS) project types, quality criteria and carbon standards methodologies.
