Our new facility in Moncada will welcome up to 1,500 dedicated team members by 2029 across manufacturing, engineering, and several other professional career paths. Hiring for professional positions has started and will continue through the winter and early spring, with specialized training for manufacturing hires beginning in the fall of 2025.How You Will Make an Impact:Perform routine and special calibration of all equipment/test and instruments measurement included in the calibration system to effectively meet the requirements and specifications in the General Calibration Procedure.Plan and perform routine calibration of equipment and ensure all calibration documentation are entered into system and in compliance, including the review of calibration, Preventive Maintenance (PM) and First Article Inspection (FAI) reportsRegister new equipment and maintain all equipment metrology (calibration and preventive maintenance) in computerized maintenance management (CMM) systemCoordinate with service providers and custodians for Calibration, First Article Inspection (FAI) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities, including getting quote, obtaining supervisor approval, initiating purchase order, and coordinating services while ensuring activities are completedEnsure all inducted equipment are calibrated, verify calibration report meets the quality requirements, and escalate any discrepanciesMay participate in the development and implementation of calibrations processes and procedures, including identifying opportunities for modification and making recommendationsMonitor the effective implementation of non-conformities OOTProvide coaching and guidance to technicians; Act as CMM (e.g. Maximo) advanced user and provide training and technical expertise to all other usersParticipate in investigations of non-conformities in different systemsOther incidental dutiesWhat You Will Need (Required):H.S. Diploma or equivalentCompleted technical/vocational school program from a recognized institution in electric, mechanical, electronics, and/or mechatronics, including internship3+ years experience in measurement and calibration of equipment/instrumentsAble to read and comprehend and speak EnglishWhat Else We Look For (Preferred):Good communication skillsGood computer skills, including MS Office and advanced proficiency in MaximoAdvanced knowledge of calibration procedures and diagnostics of manufacturing equipmentIn-house training on specialty equipment operationsKnowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturingKnowledge of Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices supporting a medical device environmentStrict attention to detailMust be able to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision, including inter-departmental teams and with other departmentsAbility to provide feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful mannerAdhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
