Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Casualty Underwriter to join our team and support the development of our local portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional seeking to advance their career in a dynamic and collaborative environment.As a Senior Underwriter, you will assess and underwrite casualty risks, primarily General Liability and Life Sciences, manage client relationships, and support our business growth. You will work closely with our Local and European team, ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines, risk appetite, and compliance standards.What will you do?Underwrite General Liability and Products Liability risks, with a focus on Life Sciences clientsAssess complex exposures including clinical trials, product risks, and international operationsStructure policy terms, limits, deductibles, and coverage conditions in line with risk profilePrice risks using underwriting judgment, market benchmarks, and available dataManage and grow a portfolio in line with underwriting strategy and profitability targetsBuild and maintain strong broker relationships to generate new business opportunitiesMonitor claims trends and loss experience to inform underwriting decisionsCollaborate with local and European teams, including reinsurance partners where relevantWhat are we looking for?5+ years of experience in Casualty underwritingStrong technical knowledge of General Liability and Products LiabilityExperience underwriting Life Sciences risks (pharma, biotech, medtech, clinical trials)Commercial mindset with proven broker-facing experienceAbility to make autonomous underwriting decisions within authorityStrong communication and negotiation skillsFluent in English and SpanishAbout DUALEstablished in 1998, Dual is a leading global MGA with more than 1,500 employees and total premium revenues of USD 3.5 billion.
