SilverBack is recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Commissioning MEP Deputy to support a large-scale project. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) commissioning activities on site, ensuring systems are commissioned safely, in accordance with specifications, and aligned with project schedule and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Support the Commissioning Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of MEP commissioning activities across assigned systems and areas. Coordinate commissioning activities with construction, engineering, QA/QC, and operations teams to ensure system readiness. Supervise and support commissioning contractors and vendors during testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases. Ensure all commissioning activities comply with HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems, and site safety procedures. Review commissioning procedures, test packs, method statements, and system dossiers. Track commissioning progress, identify issues or constraints, and support the development of mitigation and recovery plans. Support system walkdowns, punch list management, and verification of mechanical completion. Assist with functional testing, energisation, flushing, testing & balancing, and integrated system testing as applicable. Interface closely with the client, construction teams, and operations to support system handover and readiness for start-up. Maintain accurate commissioning records, reports, and documentation for final handover. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a Commissioning MEP role , such as Commissioning Engineer, Deputy Commissioning Manager, or similar, on large industrial or infrastructure projects. Strong background in heavy industrial or complex environments such as power, oil & gas, mining & minerals, processing plants, or large commercial/industrial facilities. Solid understanding of MEP systems commissioning, including electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and associated controls. Experience working on EPC / EPCM projects through construction, commissioning, and handover phases. Strong understanding of commissioning sequencing, system completion, and handover processes. Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and stakeholders on site. Strong knowledge of HSE requirements related to commissioning and energisation activities. Fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written). Good communication, reporting, and organisational skills. EU right to work / Spain-based or located in a commutable city to Huelva.
