Data Center Facility Engineering Technician (Non-Shift), Data Center Engineering Operations Job ID: | Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited – A65 We are currently seeking a Data Center Operations Electrical/Mechanical/Control Engineer to join our Engineering Operations Team. This role will oversee the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure in AWS data centers (DC) in cloud regions. As a Technician, you will collaborate with a cross‑functional engineering team to ensure the highest standards of safety, security, and operational reliability for our world‑class technical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Assist in the operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment within the data center facility. Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets. Perform troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, including AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems. Operate under minimal supervision and manage daily tasks independently. Create and close Work Orders, accurately recording labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used in the asset management system. Maintain state changes in mission‑critical infrastructure to support corrective and preventive maintenance. Test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, and processes. Act as a front‑line responder for hands‑on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. Basic Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications. Technical qualification (Level 6 or higher) in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Mechatronic Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline. Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, controls) or key electrical competencies and theory. Preferred Qualifications Experience in data center engineering or operations. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Amazon is an equal‑opportunity employer.
