Madrid | Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days remoteAbout the roleWe are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist to lead and strengthen health, safety, security, and environmental practices across operations in Spain.In this role, you will be responsible for embedding HSE standards into daily operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and fostering a strong, proactive safety culture. You will collaborate closely with global HSE teams to translate international strategy into effective local execution while continuously improving performance across multiple sites.Key responsibilitiesHSE Compliance & GovernanceEnsure compliance with Spanish occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation, aligned with corporate HSE policies and standards.Strategy & Continuous ImprovementDevelop and implement national HSE frameworks, objectives, KPIs, and improvement plans to drive operational excellence and a strong safety culture.Risk Management & AuditsLead risk assessments, internal audits, and control measures to maintain safe, compliant, and sustainable workplaces.Training & Safety LeadershipDesign and deliver HSE training programmes, promoting safety leadership, awareness, and behaviour-based safety practices.Incident Management & ReportingOversee incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting.Stakeholder & Global CollaborationAct as the key HSE contact in Spain, working with internal teams, external authorities, and global HSE communities to share best practices and drive consistency.What you bringProven experience in Occupational Health & Safety / HSE, ideally within fast-paced, multi-site or operational environmentsExperience working with trade unions, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholdersAcademic degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related fieldFluent Spanish and English, with strong communication and influencing skillsExperience implementing and maintaining formal HSE management systems (ISO 45001 knowledge is a strong plus)Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence across a matrixed, international organisationProactive, hands-on mindset with a passion for building new processes and driving continuous improvementComfortable working with digital tools and modern collaboration platformsWhat’s on offerCompetitive salary plus performance-based bonusHybrid working model (3 days office / 2 days remote)Flexible working hoursClear career development and progression opportunitiesCompany-provided laptop and smartphoneMonthly meal allowanceGenerous annual leaveEnhanced parental leaveComprehensive benefits package including private health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing support, gym discounts, and language classesWhy joinYou’ll join an international, high-growth environment where safety, wellbeing, and sustainability are core to how the business operates. xcskxlj This is a role with real ownership, visibility, and impact—ideal for someone who wants to shape HSE strategy while staying close to operations.
