Overview Company from the Oil & Gas industry is looking for a Environmental Coordinator for a project located in Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities Mission: Ø Ensure consistency of Project design with customers environmental objectives, contractual requirements and applicable regulations Ø Ensure execution and coordination of activities and studies for the environmental compatibility of onshore and offshore projects consistently with project budget and schedule. Ø Manage and supervise the following activities and deliverables : Project Environmental design criteria and management plans Noise Studies / modellings Air quality Studies / modellings Fugitive emission estimations (VOC and GHG) Best Available Technology benchmark assessments Pollutant dispersion in water bodies studies Environmental Monitoring Plans Ø Coordinate and follow-up EIA procedures and other environmental authorization procedures for Authorities Ø Manage interface with Client, other JV Contractors, and local authorities in developing environmental activities Ø Provide Environmental support to technical and commercial bid activities Tasks: Ensure the implementation of the Environmental Management System at site in compliance with Contractor and Company requirements. Ensure, together with the relevant technical Functions, the implementation of Company strategies for GHGs / Climate change and energy management at site. Manage the relevant environmental permits and monitor application. Develop Specific Environmental Plans / Procedures (i.E. Waste / Chemical / Water Management Plan, etc.), and monitor implementation; Ensure protection of sensitive areas; Develop spill prevention and response plan, monitor its implementation and ensure the implementation of the environmental emergency exercises / drills program. Ensuring compliance with noise and air quality requirements. Establishing an environmental monitoring and audit program applicable to all phases of operations. Take part in incident investigation; Oversee construction activities on a regular basis through inspections / walkthroughs / audits. Support Construction Manager / Site Manger in pollution prevention issues and collaborate with him to ensure fulfilment of all requirements. Monitor SUBCONTRACTOR’s Site activities and their compliance with Project EMS. Organize environmental training sessions and deliver trainings to Site workforce. Ensure collection and management of lessons learned and identification of opportunities for improvement. Prepare reports and statistics of the site environmental performance. Requirements Ø Master degree in Chemical / Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent Ø 10+ years of experience in similar role, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry Ø Deep Knowledge and control of international regulations concerning environment Ø Experience in International Environmental Permitting activities Ø Experience in environmental emissions assessments (noise, air, GHG, effluents) Ø Well-established knowledge of noise and air quality aspects. Practical knowledge of predictive models is recommended.
